Prof Ajith

Ajith Abraham received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He is currently the Director of Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), ScientificNetwork for Innovation and Research Excellence, USA, which has members from more than 100 countries. He has a worldwide academic and industrial experience of over 24 years. He works in a multi disciplinary environment involving machine intelligence, network security, various aspects of networks, e-commerce, Web intelligence, Web services, computational grids, data mining, and their applications to various real-world problems. He is an author/co-author of numerous publications with an h-index 65+ and has also given more than 75 plenary lectures and conference tutorials in these areas. Since 2008, he is the Chair of IEEE Systems Man and Cybernetics Society Technical Committee on Soft Computing and a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Computer Society representing Europe (2011-2013). Prof Zulikha

She is an award-winning educator. Drawing from her wide-ranging experience in teaching, research, consulting, and presenting, her speaking style is collegial and conversational. She is a professor of Interaction Design at the Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She has published extensively, taught in the field of Computer Science for more than 20 years. She received many gold awards for her inventions (2007-2014). Her teaching and research interests focus on the use of technology for T&L innovations. She has a PhD (Computer Science) from Universiti Sains Malaysia, MSc from Exeter University and BSc from Lancaster University, England. Prof Salah

Khaled Salah is an associate professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR). He received the B.S. degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Iowa State University, USA, in 1990, the M.S. degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, in 1994, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2000. Prior to joining KUSTAR, Khaled was an associate professor in the Department of Information and Computer Science, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Khaled has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and has over 100 publications in the areas of cloud computing, computer and network security, operating systems, computer networks, and performance evaluation. Khaled is an Editorial Board member of a number of prestigious international journals including IET Communications, IET Networks, Elsevier JNCA, Wiley IJNM, Wiley SCN, and J.UCS. Khaled was the recipient of Khalifa University Outstanding Research Award 2014/2015, KFUPM University Excellence in Research Award of 2008/09, and KFUPM Best Research Project Award of 2009/10, and also the recipient of the departmental awards for Distinguished Research and Teaching in prior years. Prof Salah

Professor Graham Kendall is the Vice-Provost (2011-present) at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC). He has been in Malaysia since August 2011 and is responsible for developing and delivering the strategic aims of the University in the areas of Research and Knowledge Exchange. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of MyResearch Sdn Bhd. This company has MIDA R&D status, enabling companies to invest in Research and Development in a tax efficient way. He was awarded a BSc (Hons) First Class in Computation from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK in 1997 and received his PhD from The University of Nottingham (School of Computer Science) in 2000. Professor Kendall is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and a Fellow of the Operational Research Society (FORS). He has published over 70 refereed journal papers (the vast majority in ISI ranked journals) and over 200 peer reviewed papers in total. He has edited 11 books and authored almost 20 book chapters. He is currently an Associate Editor of ten journals. As a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham he is a member of the Automated Scheduling, Planning and Optimisation Group (ASAP) in the School of Computer Science. His research interests include Operations Research, Scheduling, Logistics, Vehicle Routing, Meta- and Hyper-heuristics, Evolutionary Computation and Games. Before becoming an academic Graham worked in the IT industry for almost 20 years. He worked for two companies. Between 1977 and 1988 he worked for the Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS), firstly in Goldalming (Surrey), then in Woolwich (South London) and finally at their Head Office in Manchester. During that time, he held a number of positions; starting as a computer operator and eventually holding a variety of managerial positions including Production Manager, Service Manager and Technical Support Manager.
